Sayed Jalal Zahabi (S’08, M’16) received the B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Isfahan University of Technology, Yazd University, and Isfahan University of Technology (IUT), in 2007, 2010, and 2015, respectively. From Sep. 2016 to Aug. 2018, he was a postdoctoral researcher with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at IUT where he also served as an invited lecturer with the Computer and IT Group, and the Biomedical Engineering Group. He has also served as a researcher and project manager at the Institute for Artificial Intelligence in IUT since Sep. 2017. His research interest broadly includes statistical signal processing, information theory, data compression, machine learning, bioinformatics and computational methods in medicine. He was the recipient of the 2016 Best Ph.D. Thesis Award at Isfahan University of Technology, where he is now an assitant professor.
